# Installing InboxAI on macOS

InboxAI 0.1.4 is distributed without Apple notarization for the initial launch.

1. Download the DMG from the official InboxAI website.
2. Open the DMG.
3. Drag InboxAI into Applications.
4. Open Applications.
5. Right-click InboxAI and choose Open.
6. Confirm Open.

If macOS still blocks InboxAI:

1. Open System Settings.
2. Open Privacy & Security.
3. Select Open Anyway for InboxAI.
4. Confirm the action.

InboxAI's application updater artifacts are cryptographically signed
using the dedicated Tauri updater signing key.

This updater signature is separate from Apple Developer ID signing.

Verify the published SHA-256 checksum before installation.
